Tua Tagovailoa Has Positive Checkup
5 years agoAlabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (hip) had his four-month scan on his dislocated hip on Monday, and sources described the scan as "very good with no concerns." Tagovailoa will now begin the slow progression of activity and rehab in order to play in 2020. It's great news for a player that is expected to be the second quarterback off the board behind LSU's Joe Burrow within the first five picks of next month's draft. Tua's size and injury history are concerns for his long-term viability at the next level, but his athleticism and accuracy are off the charts. The Dolphins at No. 5 overall are the most obvious destination for Tagovailoa, and he could sit for a year as a backup to learn instead of being thrown right into the mix in his rookie season. For that reason, he'll mainly be a dynasty/keeper selection in 2020.
