Triston Casas Close To Starting A Hitting Program
1 year agoBoston Red Sox first baseman Triston Casas (shoulder) is getting close to starting a hitting program this offseason now that his shoulder injury has healed up. Casas was unable to finish out the 2023 regular season due to inflammation in his right shoulder, but he didn't need surgery of any kind and will have plenty of time to heal up this offseason before spring training kicks off in 2024. The 23-year-old left-handed slugger was impressive in his first full major-league season with Boston last year, slashing .263/.367/.490 with an .856 OPS, 24 home runs, 21 doubles, two triples, 65 RBI and 66 runs scored in 132 games as the Red Sox's primary first baseman. The future is bright for Casas.
