Treylon Burks In Concussion Protocol
1 year agoTennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel said that wide receiver Treylon Burks (concussion) is in the league's concussion protocol after suffering a scary injury late in the fourth quarter of the Thursday night loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in which he had to be taken off the field on a backboard. Burks briefly lost consciousness, which is why the training staff reacted the way they did. Thankfully, the 23-year-old didn't require a trip to the hospital after the game and will now look to recover after avoiding something much worse. The Titans have extra time before their Week 10 contest versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but it wouldn't be a surprise if Burks was unavailable to play in that game. If the second-year wideout misses any time, it would mean more targets for the likes of Kyle Philips, Chris Moore and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine behind No. 1 pass-catcher DeAndre Hopkins.
