Trey Sermon On A Good Path To Play Sunday
3 years agoSan Francisco 49ers rookie running back Trey Sermon (concussion) is "on a good path" to play in Week 3 against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan. Sermon was limited in practice on Wednesday as he makes his way through the league's concussion protocol, and he could go from being a healthy scratch in Week 1 to the starter this weekend with Elijah Mitchell (shoulder) questionable and JaMycal Hasty out with a high ankle sprain. Sermon's Week 3 fantasy value will all depend on whether Mitchell is able to play, and we may not know that until Sunday evening, which makes Sermon tough to rely on in weekly fantasy lineups against Green Bay. The 22-year-old made his NFL debut last weekend and carried the ball once before suffering a head injury and missing the rest of the game.
