Trevor Story Walks Twice, Doesn't Strike Out
6 years agoColorado Rockies shortstop Trevor Story has improved his strikeout rate pretty dramatically over the last few years, but he still strikes out more than 26% of the time. Due to this, Wednesday's game was a bit of a rarity for Story. In five plate appearances against the Cubs, Story walked twice and didn't strike out a single time. That's the first time this season that Story has avoided striking out and walked multiple times in the same game, and it shows that his patience is continuing to improve. With Story sitting at 15 home runs, 11 stolen bases, 56 runs scored, 43 RBI, and a .293 batting average, improving his patience is pretty much the only way he can continue to improve.
