Trevor Bauer An Obvious Option For Angels
4 years agoPeople are convinced that the Los Angeles Angels are determined to add a top-of-the-rotation starter this winter, and National League Cy Young winner Trevor Bauer is the obvious option. Bauer is from Los Angeles and played his college ball at UCLA, so he might relish the opportunity to come back home. The Halos' top trade options might be Reds right-hander Sonny Gray and Rays left-hander Blake Snell. Bauer is by far the biggest starting pitcher on the free-agent market. The Angels starting rotation had a 5.52 ERA last year, which was second-worst in the majors. Their 2019 ERA was at 5.64, which was also second-worst. Bauer will pretty much have his pick of where he wants to go, with many believing that the Mets will pony up and give him the best offer under new owner Steve Cohen.
