Trea Turner A Single Shy of Cycle Monday
6 years agoWashington Nationals shortstop Trea Turner homered for the second straight game and came a single away from hitting for the cycle in Washington's 12-1 win over the Chicago White Sox Monday. Turner went 3-for-6 with the solo homer, an RBI double, a triple, and two strikeouts. Unfortunately, he was retired in his last two at-bats needing just the single, and was also caught stealing for the first time this season (leaving him 8-for-9). Turner scored twice and drove in two, and is now hitting .287/.328/.548 with five home runs. It's looking like a hot streak is underway for the fantasy star.
