Trea Turner Dropped To Seventh Against Marlins
1 year agoPhiladelphia Phillies shortstop Trea Turner is starting at shortstop and batting seventh in the lineup on Tuesday against the Miami Marlins and right-hander Sandy Alcantara. The struggling Turner was recently dropped to fifth in the batting order and now finds himself all the way down in the No. 7 spot. Kyle Schwarber is leading off on Tuesday, with Alec Bohm in the two-hole. Given where he came off the board within the first three picks of fantasy drafts, Turner has been a pretty huge disappointment in 2023 in his first year in Philly. He's hitting .242/.296/.378 with 10 homers, 34 RBI, 21 steals and 58 runs in 434 at-bats. Turner hit just .218 (22-for-101) with two homers, four doubles, two triples, five RBI, three steals and 12 runs scored in 24 games in July.
