Travis Bazzana to Miss 8-10 Weeks with Oblique Injury
Travis Bazzana (oblique) underwent an MRI for his sore oblique, and a strain was confirmed. The team estimates that 2024's No. 1 overall draft pick will miss 8-10 weeks with the injury, and the 22-year-old will begin rehabbing at the team's facility in Arizona. The Oregon State product hit .252 at Double-A Akron, belting five doubles, three triples, and four home runs in 33 games before the injury. He also stole eight bases and recorded a 19:39 BB:K in 149 plate appearances. There was a chance the team's top prospect (MLB No. 12) would make a major league debut this season, but this will almost certainly throw off that timeline, so dynasty managers who were counting on him will have to adjust accordingly.
