Todd Frazier's Return Is Imminent
Todd Frazier (oblique) is expected to return from the injured list "any day now," according to manager Mickey Callaway. Frazier played in nine innings in a rehab game on Thursday for Single-A St. Lucie and has appeared in back-to-back minor league games without issues. He's had 26 plate appearances and has seen action at third base, first and shortstop. Frazier could be more of a utility infielder when he makes his season debut. Rookie Peter Alonso has been excellent at first base, while J.D. Davis and Jeff McNeil have performed well in a timeshare at third. Frazier hit .213 with 18 home runs in 115 games in 2018 and was on the disabled list twice. He'll mostly be an NL-only option for depth.
