Titans Want Ryan Tannehill Back In 2020
5 years agoThe Tennessee Titans want to keep quarterback Ryan Tannehill around for the 2020 season and beyond after he took over for Marcus Mariota midseason and led the team to a postseason appearance. The franchise tag is an option, but Tennessee would likely prefer to get a long-term deal done. The 31-year-old former Dolphin had a fantastic year in his 12 starts, going 201-for-286 (70.3 percent) for 2,742 yards, 22 touchdowns and six interceptions. He displayed excellent accuracy and efficiency and most of all didn't get in the offense's way. While the Titans should continue to be a run-first unit that leans on running back Derrick Henry, Tannehill proved he can be a solid QB2 or bye-week replacement in fantasy.
