T.J. Hockenson 2025 Fantasy Football Outlook: Return to the Pro Bowl Conversation?
T.J. Hockenson is aiming to return to fantasy prominence in 2025. He had the best year of his career in 2023, finishing with 95 receptions for 960 yards and five touchdowns. Unfortunately, the 27-year-old sustained a torn ACL late that season and began the 2024 campaign on the shelf. Hockenson finally got the green light to suit up, returning for the Week 8 meeting with the Indianapolis Colts. However, it was evident Hockenson wasn't in Pro Bowl form, and he went on to end the season without a touchdown. With the injury behind him and a full offseason to focus on anything other than rehab, he will look to reclaim his place as one of the best tight ends in the National Football League. The Vikings will now turn to quarterback J.J. McCarthy (knee) to handle things under center. Naturally, it could take the duo some time to build a rapport. The 2019 No. 8 overall pick occupies the No. 5 TE spot in Rotoballer's fantasy rankings for the 2025 season (standard and PPR formats). With that in mind, there was a lot of volatility at the position last season as it relates to fantasy production, so Hockenson at least has a chance to finish with more statistical contributions than the rest of the pack. If anything, a top-five finish isn't out of the question, assuming he stays off the injury report.
