Seattle Seahawks rookie cornerback Tre Smith (knee) will likely miss the rest of the 2021 season with a patellar injury that is expected to need surgery. The fourth-rounder suffered the injury in the second quarter of the Week 11 loss to the Arizona Cardinals and never returned to the game. He was replaced in the lineup by Sidney Jones, who was starting in place of injured right cornerback D.J. Reed. Brown didn't make his NFL debut until Week 6, but since then he had really helped to strengthen Seattle's secondary. If he suffered a ruptured patellar tendon on Sunday, Brown could be sidelined into the 2022 season with up to a 12-month recovery window. If Reed can't play on Monday night against the Washington Football Team, Jones and Bless Austin will likely start on the outside.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
