Steve Cishek To Be A Late-Inning Option For Cubs
7 years agoNewly acquired relief pitcher Steve Cishek will enter 2018 in the late-inning role for the Chicago Cubs. Cishek provides plenty of closer experience, but the team is likely to have Brandon Morrow open the season in that role. Cishek can still provide value in leagues that value holds. He will also be a good handcuff to Morrow owners. Morrow has never been a closer and is injury prone, making Cishek one of the better handcuffs. Other than holds and if he gets promoted to the closer role, Cishek can be avoided in 2018.
