Sterling Shepard Undergoing Surgery Tuesday
2 years agoNew York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard (knee) is undergoing surgery to fix his torn left ACL on Tuesday, according to a source. The surgery comes almost a month after his injury in order to accelerate the recovery process afterward. Shepard tore his left ACL in Week 3 against the Dallas Cowboys and will miss the rest of the 2022 season. It's a tough break for the 29-year-old pass-catcher after he missed most of last year with a torn Achilles. Before his injury this year, the 29-year-old was having a solid start to the campaign with 13 catches on 24 targets for 154 yards and a touchdown. Kadarius Toney and Kenny Golladay continue to be sidelined by injuries as well, which has allowed Richie James and Darius Slayton to have bigger roles in the offense.
