Steelers Plan To Extend Mike Tomlin
12 months agoThe Pittsburgh Steelers plan to extend head coach Mike Tomlin's contract this offseason, according to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk. While Tomlin's job security has been a point of discussion in recent weeks, he and the team are reportedly preparing to spend several more years together. In fact, Florio notes that the veteran head coach has already been involved in roster planning for 2024 and 2025. The team's willingness to involve Tomlin in these decision-making processes corroborates the report that he'll be back for next season and beyond. Of course, it also helps that Tomlin's Steelers remain in the playoff hunt, especially after winning Saturday's divisional game against the Cincinnati Bengals with Mason Rudolph at quarterback.
