Seranthony Dominguez Picks Up Victory
7 years agoAfter Aaron Nola allowed the tying run to score for the Toronto Blue Jays in the seventh inning of Saturday’s game at Citizens Bank Park, manager Gabe Kapler brought in his phenom rookie reliever. Seranthony Dominguez was summoned and quickly induced a groundout to retire the final batter of the frame. After the Phillies recorded a second and decisive run in the eighth, Dominguez retired the side in order, setting himself up for a victory, which he ultimately recorded. The 23-year-old has now tossed 10 1/3 innings this season and hasn’t allowed a run, with just two hits, no walks, and 10 strikeouts.
