New York Islanders goaltender Semyon Varlamov picked up his fourth shutout of the season in Tuesday's 1-0 victory over Washington, stopping 29 pucks. Brock Nelson scored the lone goal 13:05 into the third period. Varlamov had plenty of doubters before the season started, but he's been in top form right from the off and now has a 16-7-3 record through 26 starts. The 32-year-old finds himself one shutout shy of matching his career high for a season, and he has plenty of time to do it. The Islanders face Philadelphia next on Thursday and will then finish the week with a two-game set against the Rangers, who have been shut out by Varlamov twice this season.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
