Saquon Barkley Takes RB1 Status Against Panthers
6 years agoNew York Giants running back Saquon Barkley is off to a strong start to his rookie season with 453 total yards and three touchdowns in his first four games. He already has 27 receptions out of the backfield and has been quarterback Eli Manning's safety valve in the passing game. Barkley will go up against a Panthers defense in Week 5 that has been beaten on the ground but has limited the production in the passing game for running backs. The Panthers have allowed only 68 receiving yards to opposing running backs through three games but Barkley is a different breed. Barkley again should be highly active in the passing game and will be a strong bet to post 100-plus total yards in Week 5.
