Saquon Barkley Misses Another Practice
3 years agoNew York Giants running back Saquon Barkley (ankle) is missing practice yet again on Thursday and is not expected to play in Week 7 against the Carolina Panthers. Barkley suffered a low ankle sprain in Week 5 and sat out last Sunday, but it's looking like he'll miss his second straight game. Devontae Booker handled 72% of the offensive snaps as the primary back last weekend with Barkley out, while Elijhaa Penny took 20% of the snaps as the backup. Penny wound up finding the end zone, but Booker out-carried him 12 to three and out-targeted him four to two in the blowout loss to the Los Angeles Rams. The Panthers defense has improved, but they will certainly be an easier draw for Booker than the Rams. He'll have RB2 upside this weekend with Barkley expected to miss another game.
