Saquon Barkley Expects To Beat Timetable
5 years agoNew York Giants running back Saquon Barkley (ankle) is already telling people that he can beat his four- to eight-week timetable in his recovery from a high ankle sprain. However, the team's training staff will make sure he's being cautious in his rehab. Take it with a grain of salt. The No. 1 overall pick in most fantasy drafts needs to be stashed everywhere, but his owners are certainly hoping he can make it back on the short end of that timetable. Without him, Wayne Gallman will do most of the heavy lifting in the backfield. He was the most popular waiver wire addition leading up to Week 4, and he'll have low-end RB2/high-end RB3 appeal on Sunday against the Redskins.
