Sam LaPorta Limited Again Thursday
1 year agoDetroit Lions rookie tight end Sam LaPorta (calf) was limited in practice for the second day this week on Thursday. LaPorta injured his calf late last week in practice and was questionable to play in the Week 6 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The 22-year-old ended up suiting up on Sunday and had just four receptions on his 11 targets for 36 yards after scoring two touchdowns the week prior. Barring a setback with his calf in practice on Friday, we'd be surprised if LaPorta wasn't active for a Week 7 contest on the road in Baltimore against the Ravens. It's a tough matchup for Detroit's offense, but LaPorta has been a must-start in his first NFL season as the TE2 in overall half-PPR points through six weeks.
