Minnesota Wild defenseman Ryan Suter is set to undergo surgery to repair the broken fibula near his ankle on Thursday. The injury, the result of a nasty collision into the boards on Saturday, is one that will likely keep him out until training camp of next season. In fact, Suter is not expected to even be able to put any weight on his right foot for the first four months following the operation. The loss of Suter will be quite difficult for the Wild to overcome, especially considering that the team is destined to face either Nashville or Winnipeg in the first round of the playoffs. Suter tied a career high with 51 points this season and ranked second in the NHL in time on ice per game at 26:47.--Chase Davis - RotoBaller
