It has now been losses in two of three fights for the 11th-ranked Ryan Spann after he suffered a first-round submission loss to Anthony Smith in Saturday's main event in Vegas. Though the blood was boiling hot, the two fighters were able to hug it out after the contest. After being floored twice by left hands, Smith locked in a rear-naked choke, ending Spann's night. In 3:47 of total action, Spann was only able to land eight significant strikes. Spann is still a dangerous finisher to many in the division. Look for him to have a nice rebound performance, especially if he is given an opponent outside of the top 10.--Matt Bricker
