Ryan O'Hearn Triples, Carries KC Offense
6 years agoKansas City Royals first baseman Ryan O'Hearn was the only one to find a weakness in Corey Kluber's performance on Wednesday as O'Hearn's triple was one of just two hits allowed by the Cy Young winner. Both the team's hits came in the fourth inning when Kluber apparently became human for a few minutes and allowed a double to Alex Gordon and O'Hearn's RBI triple. O'Hearn has been a great addition for the Royals since his call-up at the end of July as he's smashed nine homers and driven in 23 runs in just 98 plate appearances so far. He's also walking at an excellent 11% clip. With the team in the midst of a rebuild, O'Hearn should get the chance to be a starter to open the 2019 season and show that he's worth building around for the future.
