Ryan Nall 2020 Outlook: Unproven Running Back Competing For No. 3 Job
5 years agoSigned as an undrafted rookie free agent last year, Ryan Nall had an unforgettable first season with the Bears, rushing the ball just two times for eight yards in parts of eight games. Going into his second season, he'll compete with undrafted rookies Artavis Pierce and Napoleon Maxwell for the No. 3 job behind David Montgomery and Tarik Cohen. The downhill runner could get a shot on early downs if Montgomery gets hurt, but even then, Cordarrelle Patterson could be the next man up before Nall, with Cohen profiling more as a wide receiver in passing situations. The 24-year-old is an unproven back that must hold off Pierce for a backup role heading into his second season.
