Russell Wilson Intends To Play Against Jaguars
2 years agoDenver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson (hamstring), who was listed as being a limited participant in practice on Thursday for the second straight day, said he intends to play in Week 8 against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday morning. Wilson was held out of the Week 7 loss to the New York Jets due to a partially torn hamstring, but he's apparently made great progress and his chomping at the bit to return under center for Denver's struggling offense. The 33-year-old veteran is still being viewed as day-to-day, but all signs right now are pointing to him starting against Jacksonville. The Jaguars defense has allowed 20.6 fantasy points per game to opposing QBs in the last three weeks, so it could be the perfect time for the Broncos offense to get out of its funk. Wilson will be a borderline QB1/2 if he returns in Week 8.
