Robinson Chirinos' Slump Continues
6 years agoHouston Astros catcher Robinson Chirinos went 0-for-4 in the Astros 4-1 loss to the Red Sox on Sunday. The veteran backstop now has only two hits over his last 20 at-bats and is slashing .212/.382/.423 in the month of May after posting a .258/.351/.500 line in April. He is hitting only .186 over his last 15 games and his early-season offensive surge appears to be over. Fantasy owners looking for short-term help at the catching position should look elsewhere for now heading into next week.
