Rashaad Penny Ruled Out For Week 3
3 years agoSeattle Seahawks running back Rashaad Penny (calf) has been ruled out for Week 3 against the Minnesota Vikings. Penny had just two carries for eight yards in the Week 1 win over the Indianapolis Colts but then was inactive in the Week 2 overtime loss to the Tennessee Titans. The former first-rounder just cannot stay healthy, so it's obviously hard to rely on him for fantasy purposes, even if it's just for running back depth. With Penny out last Sunday, lead back Chris Carson handled 63 percent of the offensive snaps, with Travis Homer second in the backfield with 25.9 percent of the snaps. Seattle also has DeeJay Dallas, Alex Collins and Travis Homer at their disposal for RB depth, so they won't rush Penny back before he's ready.
