Rams Hopeful Aaron Donald Will Be Available Next Weekend
4 years agoLos Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay said that the team is hopeful that defensive lineman Aaron Donald (ribs) will be available to play in the Divisional Round next weekend after the Rams beat the division-rival Seahawks in the wild-card round on Saturday. Donald was injured late in the game when he was taking quarterback Russell Wilson down on a sack and never returned to the contest. The 29-year-old All-Pro pass-rusher finished the game with three solo tackles (two for loss), three QB hits and two sacks. Donald has been a Pro Bowler each of his seven seasons in the NFL and has also been a first-team All-Pro five times. He remains one of the league's best pass-rushers and is a must-start IDP defensive lineman anytime he's on the field. It sounds like Donald should be available for LA's top-ranked defense in the Divisional Round, but keep a close eye on his status throughout the week. His X-rays came back negative.
