Raimel Tapia Hits Little League Home Run
6 years agoColorado Rockies outfielder Raimel Tapia extended his hitting streak on Saturday by knocking a hard grounder through to right-center field. What should have been a single with a chance of becoming a double due to Tapia's speed instead turned into a Little League home run when center fielder Jonathan Davis allowed it to scoot under his glove. The bobble allowed Tapia to dig for third, and in the team's rush to try to throw him out there, the Blue Jays instead threw it into the stands, allowing Tapia to score. Tapia has shone recently with regular playing time, so hopefully he can keep this up once Charlie Blackmon returns and his playing time diminishes.
