1 year agoThe Athletic's Jim Ayello writes that Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert is the team's clear-cut RB1 entering Week 1 of the regular season against the Los Angeles Chargers with Jeff Wilson Jr. (abdomen) on Injured Reserve and rookie De'Von Achane (shoulder) also hurt. However, Mostert is 31 and has dealt with his fair share of injuries in his career as well. But he did play in 16 games in 2022 and averaged 4.9 yards per carry while totaling 1,093 scrimmage yards and five touchdowns. Head coach Mike McDaniel said repeatedly in the offseason that the Dolphins need to run the ball and more effectively for the offense to reach maximum effectiveness. Mostert will enter Week 1 as an RB3/flex in fantasy against a Chargers defense that was extremely vulnerable to the run last year.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
