Phil Mickelson carried tons of momentum into the BMW Championship, but finished near the bottom of the field in a disappointing tie for 58th place. It was a shocking performance from the veteran who had logged two consecutive top-15 finishes prior to the BMW. Mickelson surprisingly struggled with his short game at Aronimink, ranking 58th in strokes gained: around the green and 64th in strokes gained: putting. Despite the poor outing, Mickelson still qualified for the Tour Championship. "Lefty" sits at 14th in the FedEx points standings and will need a win at East Lake to have a chance at the FedEx Cup title. --Joe Nicely - RotoBaller
