New York Rangers right wing Pavel Buchnevich provided all the offense during a 3-2 shootout loss to the Detroit Red Wings on Thursday night. He opened the scoring in the first period before tying the game with 5:31 remaining in the third frame. Buchnevich fired five shots on net in 14:52 of ice time. The Russian winger has had a mediocre year with 15 goals, 13 assists, and nine power-play points through 50 games. The 23-year-old has yet to have the breakout offensive season some pundits have expected from him. He is a fringe fantasy asset in the deepest of leagues. Brendan Lemieux also tallied two assists in the contest. He has three points in five games since being acquired from the Winnipeg Jets at the trade deadline. Lemieux is a fantasy afterthought in all formats for this season. The Rangers will be back at it on Saturday night against the New Jersey Devils.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
