Paul Goldschmidt Stays Hot With Another Homer
5 months agoSt. Louis Cardinals first baseman Paul Goldschmidt put together a big performance in Thursday's loss versus the division rival Chicago Cubs. The veteran went 3-for-5 with a pair of runs and a solo home run. Goldschmidt got off to a very slow start this season, but over the last month has hit .270 with six homers, nine RBI and two stolen bases. Overall, the 36-year-old is hitting a career-low .238, but he has still shown some power with 17 homers and 42 RBI. Although he is not the MVP candidate that he has been in years past, he is still a productive contributor for managers this season and should continue to be rostered in most formats.
