Patriots Showing Strong Interest In Leonard Fournette
4 years agoThe New England Patriots are one of several teams showing strong interest in free-agent running back Leonard Fournette. The Patriots seem determined to add at least one running back and have also been in contact with Chris Carson. New England added tight ends Jonnu Smith and Hunter Henry and wide receivers Nelson Agholor and Kendrick Bourne so far in free agency, so they have really bolstered the offense in order to help quarterback Cam Newton. Free-agent wide receivers Kenny Golladay and Keelan Cole "seem to be popular names within the organization" as well. On the flip side, long-time center David Andrews is headed to free agency after five seasons and two Super Bowls with the team. The Buccaneers and Seahawks are also in play for Fournette. Seattle would probably be the most intriguing destination from a fantasy perspective. Ronald Jones II could be in line for a featured role in Tampa if Fournette doesn't return.
