5 days agoFormer Indianapolis Colts linebacker Shaquille Leonard is not planning to sign with the Dallas Cowboys, as of now, according to Josina Anderson of CBS Sports. The three-time All-Pro linebacker was released by the Colts earlier this week and now that he's cleared waivers, he's free to sign anywhere. He's mostly been linked to Philadelphia and Dallas with the latter gathering all of the recent momentum. Per Anderson, the Cowboys are still just gathering information on the oft-injured LB, however. The 28-year-old should sign with a contending team soon enough but he is no longer the tackling machine he once was due to injuries.Source: Josina Anderson of CBS Sports
5 days agoPittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett struggled mightily against the Cleveland Browns last week but will hope to find success in another divisional showdown against the Cincinnati Bengals. This is a solid matchup for Pickett with the Bengals surrendering the 12th-most fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks. Additionally, Sunday's contest could mark the beginning of a fresh start for Pickett as the team parted ways with offensive coordinator Matt Canada earlier this week. Pittsburgh's offense averaged just 17.9 points per game since Canada took over play-calling duties in 2021. It's unknown at this point what changes will be made to the Steelers' offense, but hopefully, Pickett can show signs of improvement under a revamped coaching staff. Although his performance will be worth monitoring in superflex leagues, fantasy managers should look elsewhere for a starter this week.Source: ESPN
5 days agoTennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry (ankle) got in a full practice on Friday and is ready to go for Sunday's Week 12 game against the Carolina Panthers. Henry started the week off with a limited session but logged back-to-back full practices on Thursday and Friday. Henry has struggled over the last two weeks, totaling just 62 yards on 21 carries (2.95 yards per carry) to go along with just two catches for two yards. He has a better matchup this week against Carolina, but the Titans' offense has looked pretty bad over the last month. He has a chance to right the ship, but only if the Titans can stay in a positive/neutral game script, which is certainly possible against a struggling Panthers team. He is a mid-level RB2 for Week 12.Source: Tennessee Titans
5 days agoJacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Zay Jones (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's Week 12 matchup against the Houston Texans. The 28-year-old wideout got in three straight limited practices this week so he should be good to go, barring a setback, for Sunday's divisional tilt against the Texans. Injuries have limited Jones to just four games this season in which he's totaled 98 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. He most likely won't be playing at 100% against Houston, so he's a risky fantasy option at this point. He's a low-end FLEX dart throw if you have no other option but to start him on Sunday.Source: DJ Bien-Aime of ESPN
5 days agoDenver Broncos running back Samaje Perine (knee) has been removed from the team's final injury report after getting in a full practice on Friday. The veteran running back has now logged back-to-back full practices so he is ready to go for Sunday's Week 12 game against the Cleveland Browns. Perine has been a solid receiving back throughout the season, totaling 32 receptions on 36 targets for 326 yards through the air. However, he's yet to find the end zone this season and has a tough matchup in Week 12 against the Browns' stout defense. He's a low-end RB4.Source: Denver Broncos
5 days agoMiami Dolphins linebacker Jaelan Phillips (leg) might be looking at an extended absence after being carted off the field in Friday's Week 12 contest against the New York Jets in the fourth quarter after suffering a non-contact injury. Phillips didn't appear to be in good spirits after being carted off. He could be dealing with a torn Achilles or torn ACL, which would both keep him out for the remainder of the 2023 campaign. Before the serious injury, the 24-year-old had three tackles and a sack against the Jets. Phillips' injury will be a serious one for the Dolphins defense, as he entered the day second on the team with 5.5 sacks. The third-year linebacker also had 39 tackles (25 solo), four tackles for loss, nine QB hits and an interception entering Friday's game. UPDATE: Phillips was listed with an Achilles injury.Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport
5 days agoMiami Dolphins left tackle Terron Armstead (quadriceps) suffered a quadriceps injury in the Week 12 game on Friday against the New York Jets and is questionable to return. The oft-injured Armstead doesn't appear to be dealing with a serious ailment, but with the game already out of hand in the second half, it seems unlikely that the Dolphins will put him back into the game. Given Armstead's lengthy injury history, especially with lower-body injuries, it wouldn't be a surprise if he's forced to miss some time moving forward. The 32-year-old was playing in just his fifth game of the year on Friday due to various injuries. The health of Miami's offensive line is something worth watching late in the 2023 season.Source: Dolphins Twitter
5 days agoMinnesota Vikings tight end T.J. Hockenson (ribs) was limited in practice on Friday for the second straight day this week. Hockenson continues to work through a rib injury that he's been dealing with for a few weeks, but it hasn't caused him to miss any time and he should be just fine to suit up on Monday night in Week 12 against the Chicago Bears. In the last two games while dealing with the injury, the 26-year-old has piled up a healthy 15 catches for 189 yards and a touchdown with quarterback Joshua Dobbs now leading the offense. All-Pro wideout Justin Jefferson (hamstring) may remain out on Monday, too, so Hockenson remains a locked-in, high-end TE1 for fantasy managers. In the first meeting with Chicago in Week 6, Hockenson had six catches on eight targets for 50 yards.Source: Vikings Twitter
5 days agoDespite already being ruled out for the Week 12 game on Sunday against the Buffalo Bills, Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert (forearm) continues to trend in the right direction with his fractured forearm. Goedert did a cardio workout on Friday and seems to be in great spirits while indicating he's healing quicker than initially expected. "We have high hopes that Dallas is going to be back. Again, I don't know when. I think that's unfair to Dallas...There is a reason he's not an IR," head coach Nick Sirianni said last week. Goedert fractured his forearm in Week 9 and the Eagles had their bye in Week 10, so this Sunday will be his second missed game. There's a chance the 28-year-old could be back in Week 13 for a showdown against the San Francisco 49ers. Until he return, Jack Stoll should be the Eagles' starting TE, but he's not on the fantasy radar.Source: Philadelphia Inquirer - Josh Tolentino
5 days agoBaltimore Ravens rookie wide receiver Zay Flowers (hip) returned to a full practice on Friday but has been listed as questionable to play on Sunday night against the Los Angeles Chargers. Flowers was limited on Wednesday and sat out on Thursday, but he insists he's fine to play in Week 12 and that Thursday's missed practice was essentially just a rest day. Odell Beckham Jr. (shoulder) is expected to be a game-time decision for this primetime game, so if OBJ is out or limited at all, Flowers could have a busy day against a very generous Chargers defense. Remember, tight end Mark Andrews (ankle) is likely done for the rest of the year, too, so Flowers is already set for an uptick in targets because of that injury. Flowers should be locked into fantasy lineups this week.Source: Ravens Twitter
5 days agoLos Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen (shoulder) practiced in a full capacity again on Friday. He has been removed from the injury report and will play against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 12. Despite several appearances on the injury report this season, Allen has been active for all 10 games so far. And he remains quite elite, totaling 83 catches, 1,011 yards, and seven touchdowns en route to ranking as the overall WR2 in PPR fantasy leagues. Managers should continue to start him in all formats this weekend.Source: Los Angeles Chargers
5 days agoLos Angeles Chargers tight end Gerald Everett (chest) and wide receiver Jalen Guyton (groin) are officially questionable to play against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 12. Both players missed last week's clash and are looking to return following their respective one-game absences. Of the two, Everett has made more progress, logging a full practice on Friday. With that said, Guyton was limited all week long, meaning that he got on the field for three consecutive practices. If active, Everett would be a low-end fantasy TE2 while Guyton ranks as a WR5.Source: Los Angeles Chargers
5 days agoArizona Cardinals running back Emari Demercado (toe) and wide receiver Zach Pascal (hamstring) remained limited for a third consecutive practice on Friday. They are officially listed as questionable for Week 12 versus the Los Angeles Rams. Neither player was able to suit up last weekend, but they're at least pushing to play in a key divisional battle. At the wide receiver position, Michael Wilson (shoulder) has been ruled out while Marquise Brown (heel) is questionable after missing two practices. Therefore, having Pascal active would be huge for this Arizona squad looking to remain productive on offense. Fantasy managers should check back for confirmation on the Cardinals' injury report 90 minutes before kickoff Sunday.Source: Darren Urban
5 days agoArizona Cardinals wide receiver Marquise Brown (heel) missed a second consecutive practice on Friday. Although his status has been trending in the wrong direction, he is officially listed as questionable to play against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 12. With Michael Wilson (shoulder) already ruled out, Arizona cannot afford to also lose Brown for this divisional clash. Nevertheless, fantasy managers must prepare a backup plan in the event that the 26-year-old isn't able to play. We should receive confirmation on his status 90 minutes before kickoff Sunday.Source: Darren Urban
5 days agoPhiladelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert (forearm) was unable to practice on Friday. He has officially been ruled out for Week 12 versus the Buffalo Bills. Although it was reported that Goedert has been trending in the right direction and won't be placed on injured reserve, he will still miss a second consecutive game on Sunday. Perhaps Week 13 (versus the 49ers) or Week 14 (versus the Cowboys) will represent a more likely return date for the talented playmaker. In his absence, Jack Stoll will operate as the Eagles' top tight end. However, he remains off the fantasy radar.Source: Tom Pelissero
