Brito got taken down multiple times and was dominated for the majority of the fight. All judges scored the bout decisively in favor of Sabatini, with scores of 30-26, 30-26, and 30-27. Valentin was outwrestled for more than 13 minutes of the fight, but Finney didn't land any damaging shots, nor did he threaten Valentin with submission attempts. It wasn't the most exciting fight, but surprisingly enough, one judge gave all three rounds to Valentin. In 15 minutes of action, Valentin landed 23 significant strikes. Finney managed to take Valentin down time and time again, but he didn't do much after securing takedowns. Once the fight hit the canvas, Finney did almost nothing except hold Valentin down.
