Packers Won't Reduce Jimmy Graham's Role
5 years agoGreen Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said the team has no plans to reduce tight end Jimmy Graham's role despite his ineffectiveness and a dropped touchdown pass on Monday night against the Lions. The declining veteran caught two passes on five targets for 17 yards in Week 6 and has just 14 receptions for 149 yards and two touchdowns this season. It hasn't helped that Green Bay's offense has leaned more on the run under LaFleur, but Graham just doesn't have a whole lot left in the tank these days. He'll remain on the TE1/2 borderline as a touchdown-dependent option in Week 7 against the Raiders.
