Owen Caissie Remains Red-Hot at Triple-A
Owen Caissie has continued to produce at an elite level at Triple-A. While Caissie's name was discussed in many potential deals at the trade deadline, the Cubs opted to hold on to their budding outfield star. Over his last 11 games with the Iowa Cubs, the former 45th overall pick has posted an elite .366/.426/.561 slash line with five doubles and a home run. Through 88 total games with the top level of the Cubs' MiLB system this season, Caissie has posted a remarkable .281/.381/.557 slash line with 26 doubles, 20 home runs, and three stolen bases. Fantasy managers should continue to keep a close eye on his status. However, given that the Cubs have a crowded outfield in the major leagues, he will likely need several injuries to find a potential spot on their roster. As a result, he is best to leave on your waiver wire in redraft formats.
