1 year agoSt. Louis Cardinals infielder Nolan Gorman (back) has been scratched from Monday's starting lineup against the Oakland Athletics due to lower-back tightness. Taylor Motter will now play second base and bat ninth in the order against A's left-hander JP Sears. Back tightness has kept Gorman out before this year, so hopefully this doesn't develop into something more serious that requires a stint on the injured list. For now, fantasy managers should consider the 23-year-old to be day-to-day. In his second major-league season, Gorman has been a solid source of power in fantasy. He's currently slashing .241/.328/.487 with an .815 OPS, 24 home runs, 16 doubles, 67 RBI, six stolen bases and 50 runs scored in 104 games.
