Nolan Arenado Hits Go-Ahead Homer In Return To Action Tuesday
Nolan Arenado (ribs) looked just fine in Tuesday's 7-4 win over the Orioles. Arenado, who missed Monday's game with sore ribs after falling into the crowd to make a catch on Sunday, went 2-for-5 with a single and a solo home run. The 34-year-old broke a 4-4 tie in the eighth inning by launching a first-pitch Bryan Baker slider into the Splash Zone in left field. Despite the heroics Tuesday, the veteran has put together lackluster numbers on the season, slashing .238/.308/.394 with six HR and 26 RBI in 214 plate appearances. While Arenado has been a solid fantasy contributor throughout his career, he has not impacted the ball well this season, so age may be finally catching up to him.
