Nolan Arenado Could Rejoin Cardinals on Aug. 18
Nolan Arenado (shoulder) is "likely" to come off the 10-day injured list and rejoin the team Aug. 18, John Denton of MLB.com reports. In the meantime, Arenado will report to the team's Florida-based spring training facility on Friday to work on strengthening his injured right shoulder. Arenado began dealing with shoulder pain in July, though he didn't go on the 10-day injured list until Aug. 1. Thanks in part to his shoulder issues, Arenado posted a miserable .440 OPS in 16 games in July. Overall, the eight-time All-Star, 34, has slumped through arguably the worst season of his career. Arenado has hit just .235/.294/.366 with 10 homers, 43 RBI, and 43 runs scored across 394 plate appearances.
