Detroit Red Wings defenseman Niklas Kronwall called it a career on Tuesday afternoon. The 15-year veteran produced 432 points in 953 regular-season games for the Red Wings, winning a Stanley Cup with the team in 2008. The news was not a big shock, as Kronwall had dealt with injuries over the previous few seasons. Patrik Nemeth was brought in as a free agent during the summer, and he will likely take Kronwall's spot in the lineup. The defenseman to own on the Red Wings is the 21-year-old Filip Hronek, as he figures to be the offensive catalyst from the backend.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBallerRead More News
