Mitch Haniger In 2-For-17 Slide
7 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Mitch Haniger has cooled off over the past few weeks and is currently stuck in a 2-for-17 slump. The slide has brought his average down to .280, and he is hitting only .247 with one home run over his last 89 at-bats. Haniger burst out of the gates to begin the season, driving in 27 runs in the month of April. Now the Mariners offense needs Haniger's production more than ever due to injuries and suspensions, but the results have been mixed, at best, for a young player who will experience peaks and valleys at times. Haniger will have to improve upon his .337 slugging percentage in the month of May as the calendar rolls into June over the next few days.
