Colorado Avalanche forward Mikko Rantanen will be out for at least a few weeks after suffering a lower-body injury in his team's 3-1 loss to the St. Louis Blues on Monday. When asked about the severity of Rantanen's injury, Avs head coach Jared Bednar stated that he believes his star winger will be out less than 4-6 weeks. The original diagnosis appears to be good news for Rantanen's fantasy owners after the 22-year-old hobbled off the ice following an awkward fall. Following back-to-back 80-point seasons, Rantanen was off to a nice start in 2019-2020 - registering 12 points (five goals, seven assists), four power-play points and 24 shots through his first nine contests. The Finnish native has emerged as one of the game's most productive right-wingers and has formed one of the league's most dangerous duos with center Nathan MacKinnon over the past few seasons. We'll likely know more about the specifics on his injury in the next few days.--Chase Davis - RotoBaller
