Mikko Rantanen Extends Goal Streak During Multi-Point Night
2 years agoColorado Avalanche forward Mikko Rantanen scored in a third consecutive game and had an assist as the team cruised to a 5-1 victory in Winnipeg Friday. Rantanen grabbed the game-winning goal and helped J.T. Compher on the scoreboard. Only two Avalanche forwards finished the game without a point and Rantanen was one of three players with multiple points. Compher also had a goal and an assist, and Nathan MacKinnon recorded his sixth consecutive multi-point performance with the same numbers. MacKinnon has been the main catalyst offensively for the Avalanche lately, but Rantanen has also started to pick up momentum again and boasts five points from the past three games. His overall work this season consists of 37 goals and 31 assists in 56 games.
