Mike Vrabel Not Worried About Derrick Henry's Workload
4 years agoTennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel said that running back Derrick Henry's work ethic allows him to be successful despite his heavy workload. Henry has led the league in rushing the last two seasons, running for 1,540 yards on 303 carries in 2019 and 2,027 yards on 378 carries last year. He became the eighth running back in history to pass the 2,000-yard mark in a single season, and the previous seven RBs haven't come close to reaching back-to-back 2,000-yard campaigns. The Titans and other teams may be more cautious with their backs with an added 17th game of the season, but it sounds as though Henry will continue to have a pretty hefty workload in this run-first offense. The 27-year-old is one of the toughest backs to bring down and will remain a high-end RB1 heading into 2021.
