Detroit Red Wings defenseman Mike Green will undergo surgery on his cervical spine, which rules him out for the remainder of the season. The surgery is scheduled for early April, but the Red Wings have already announced that he will be shut down starting Thursday. The All-Star defenseman tallied 33 points in 66 games, which is similar to his last four years of production. At this point in his career Green holds some fantasy value as a power-play specialist and a half point-per-game player, but not enough to be considered a must-own on rosters next season.--Russ Ivanac - RotoBaller
