9 months agoNew York Rangers center Mika Zibanejad registered two goals with two assists and a plus-1 rating while also adding a blocked shot and two hits in Tuesday's 6-2 victory against the Carolina Hurricanes. Right wing Mats Zuccarello also stepped up with three assists and a plus-1 rating. Zibanejad entered the game with just a goal and three points over his past eight outings since his four-assist outburst Dec. 29 in Nashville. Meanwhile, Zuccarello has three goals and six points during his current three-game point streak, and he passed Anders Hedberg for the most assists in franchise history by a player born and trained outside of North America.--Daniel E.
